Happy Birthday Daddy Craft

Today is a very special day, it's my husband's birthday!  I won't say how old he's turning today but he IS older than me.  He's such a wonderful Daddy and such an amazing husband I just couldn't ask for a better person to journey through life with.  The past 8 weeks have been so hectic with Rowan here.  He's an easy baby but he does wake up about 2 times a night and he takes some of my attention away from Rylie, it's just a fact of life.  The good thing about this is that I've noticed Rylie's attachment to Jason grow and grow.  Not that she didn't love him before Rowan was born, but she definitely preferred me.  Now I can easily say she sometimes prefers her Daddy.  They have fun together reading and dancing and rough housing like little girls and Daddies do.  It's SO sweet to see their relationship blossoming.

I took this before school yesterday morning...aren't they cute?

For Jason's birthday I wanted to also include something from Rylie, that she made herself, so I chose a picture frame.  The girl LOVES to color, so I chose a simple wooden frame and paint markers.

See her already grabbing for the paint markers?

We put on an old shirt, put down some old colored on paper and got to painting.  I had to help her aim them straight up and down because otherwise no paint came out, but she got the hang of it eventually.

Working hard on Dad's present.

Above is Rylie with her finished present for Daddy.  Doesn't she look proud of herself?  I know it's a very simple project but I think Jason will really like it and if anything, it's a great keepsake for Rylie's first present she made for her Dad.  So if you're reading this blog babe, Happy Birthday we love you TONS!!
